Peer Review Process
THURJ employs a 5 stage peer-review process, starting with initial screening at the beginning of the semester. Accepted manuscripts are then given revision through peer and external review, and upon final revisions, approved manuscripts are published in our semesterly journal. Please click the button to read more about our peer review process.
Generative AI Policy
The use of generative AI is strictly forbidden in the drafting and content-generating processes of all THURJ pieces, including manuscripts and content pieces. Among other things, this means that generative AI may not be used to: 1) identify topics, 2) outline pieces, 3) identify sources, 4) produce any major or minor arguments or text, or 5) shorten or otherwise enhance text. Generative AI may only be used to provide a grammatical review of existing content. Any pieces suspected of being written in whole or in part by generative AI will not be eligible for publication in THURJ.
